What is AFJOG?
The Association of Fatima Jinnah Old Graduates (AFJOG) was founded in December 1983 by the graduates from Fatima Jinnah Medical College (FJMC), including their Pakistani-American counterparts. Our mission is to provide healthcare, education to underprivileged communities and vocational training to empower women in Pakistan. Additionally, AFJOG actively supports FJMC and its affiliated Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) in various capacities.
Run primarily by dedicated female physicians, along with some esteemed male colleagues, AFJOG thrives on the generosity of donors and the selfless contributions of medical professionals. Many supporters have donated buildings, funds, and services to establish educational, paramedical, and vocational training centers, strengthening our impact.
An elected executive body leads AFJOG, with elections held after every two years. Currently, 60 senior professors, specialists, and physicians voluntarily run free clinics, ensuring medical care to those in need. Our team continues to grow, with esteemed senior doctors and enthusiastic young professionals joining hands to serve humanity by the grace of Allah Almighty.
