World Hepatitis Day was observed worldwide on 28 July. KK Help and AFJOG commemorated the occasion at Sarmad Clinic, Raiwind Road, on 28 July.
The event was attended by Dr Zahida Khwaja (Founder of KK Help), Dr Muneera Ahmed (Former President, AFJOG), Dr Nida Tariq, Miss Alisha (an intern undertaking a clinical observership at AFJOG), along with the paramedical staff.

Prof. Nabiha Hassan Memorial Session. The Annual International Scientific Conference 2025 was held at our alma mater, Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU), in collaboration with UHC-UK and US FJ Alumni, from 17th to 19th December 2025. Brilliant presentations were delivered over the course of the three days.
Flood Relief Update | 25 October 2025. We had planned to divert our attention toward providing relief in South Punjab, as I had received information that Bahawalpur was badly affected by unexpected floods. In certain areas, almost no relief had reached, and people were in a hopeless condition. However, I was on the lookout for a reliable person from South Punjab.
AFJOG arranged an awareness session on breast cancer in collaboration with the Dilawar Hussain Foundation on 15th October 2025 at AMRC. A large number of patients, women from nearby areas, friends, and doctors attended the programme. Lectures were delivered on self-examination techniques, the necessary investigations for early detection, diagnosis, and referral for treatment. It was also announced that any woman who has concerns can request a breast examination by a doctor at our clinics.
Kashmir day was held at AFJOG (Akhter Mubarik referral centre)on Saturday 8th Feb 2025.The children of Akhter Mubarik school,Charrar school and Fatima Tufail school participated with great enthusiasm .President Dr Muneera Ahmed and the audience highly appreciated the well coordinated efforts of the children in presentation of the Kashmir cause through speeches,skits and tableaus.
Students from FJMU visited AFJOG centers on 5 August 2023 to observe community-based primary care centers. It was a fine occasion where young and old FJ graduates met and got inspired to work for the greater good of society. Insha aa Allah they are the forerunners of our bright future. May Allah always guide them on the right path to serve humanity.
𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗼𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗼𝗼. All the credit of this project goes to an AFJOG member,Dr Saeeda Saggoo and her husband Mr Mehmood Akhter Saggoo who realised the immense need for dialysis in chronic kidney disease patients and then implemented the idea with their generous donation and perseverance in supervising the building of this structure .It took 4 years to complete the project.
Dr Saeeda Akhter Saggoo ,a humble,modest,God-fearing lady is an FJ graduate of 1964. Currently the couple resides in UK.
