ASSOCIATION oF FATIMA JINNAH oLD GRADUATES (AFJOG)

Foundingย President

Dear Members,

As I review my association with FJMC from 1948 onwards, the most gratifying experience seems to be the formation and growth of AFJOG.

During the past ten years, your association has done for its members more than what could be imagined. It has provided closer personal contact between FJ graduates through entertainment, continuing education & outreach programmes.

I am truly proud to have been one of its founder members, its president and advisor over the years.

Congratulations on completion of a glorious decade of AFJOG.

Best wishes,
Prof. Dr. Nabihaย Hassan

Current President

Dear All
I am deeply honored to assume the presidency of AFJOG, and I thank you all for your trust and confidence in me.
I pay heartfelt tribute to our founders, whose vision laid the foundation of this noble organization.
I extend my sincere appreciation to all past Presidents for their leadership and dedication that continue to guide us forward.
I am especially grateful to our outgoing President and her team for their remarkable service and contributions to fulfill AFJOG goals the most remarkable of them being opening of UK chapter of AFJOG and so many others.
As I step into this role with my team our vision is to strengthen AFJOG as a leading force in patient care, training, awareness, elderly support, and research. In sha Allah ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
I believe that together, through collaboration and commitment, we can expand our impact and reach those most in need.
Healthcare is not a privilege but a right, and we must strive to make it accessible, compassionate, and equitable.
My requestย ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปto each one of you is to volunteer your time to AFJOG at least twice month if not weekly. Sacrifice that one day of practice to serve the ailing humanity. Time is the most valuable and precious sacrifice you can give to those who have a right to exist in dignityย ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒธ
My appeal๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป is for the young blood to join AFJOG and give back your Alma Mater.
I look forward to working with all of you to build a stronger, more inclusive future for our patients and our profession.
Let us all work together to build an AFJOG that:
โ€ข Heals more
โ€ข Teaches better
โ€ข Reaches further
โ€ข And cares deeper
An AFJOG that future generations will be proud of. In sha Allah ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
Thank you once again for your trust.

Prof Nighat Mir Ahmad, MD
MACR FACR
Executive team of AFJOG.

Outgoing President

I had the privilege of serving AFJOG as President for two terms (2024โ€“2028).

Despite challenges such as the after-effects of COVID-19 and repeated floods, by the grace of God we achieved key milestones:

โ€ข Registered AFJOG as a UK charity
โ€ข Upgraded our pathology labs
โ€ข Signed MOUs with FJMU and ACF for community and arthritis care services
โ€ข Supported a hepatitis research programme with the Khwaja family
โ€ข Strengthened schools and vocational centres towards independence

The rehabilitation work in Swat (KPK) continues.

Iโ€™m pleased the new team has taken over successfully and wish them the very best, especially in research and academics, InshaAllah.

I remain available to support AFJOG in any capacity.

Sincerely,

Dr. Muneera Ahmad
